Bangladesh has many places that are as much attractive as any famous tourist destination in the world. Amiyakhum waterfall is one of them. Amiyakhum waterfall is one of the most beautiful natural waterfalls in Bangladesh. It is an excellent place to travel. Which is situated near Bangladesh Myanmar Border; one of the most remote area called Tindu of Thanchi upazilla under Bandarban  district in Bangladesh. The natural beauty of Amiyakhum waterfall will fascinate every traveler.
 

How to go: There are direct bus services from Dhaka to Bandarban. These services are Shyamoli Paribahan, Saudia Paribahan, S.Alam Paribahan, Dolphin Services, Unique Services etc. From Fakirapool some transport services leave Dhaka in everyday night. Usually Bus departs from Dhaka about 10:00PM and it may take more or less 6-8 hours. After reaching Bandarban you have to go to Thanchi upazill by bus . It will be take 4 - 5 hours to reach Thanchi from Bandarba then you need to hire a tour guide. There is a tour guide committee in Thanchi and that tour guide committee will select an experienced tour guide for you. This tour guide will stay for 2 or more days with you during the journey to reach the particular tour spot till you come back to Thanchi. For the first day the tour guide will charge 600 taka  and for the second day onwards the tour guide will charge 500 taka for each day (exclude his food and accommodation). Now you have to go to Remakri bazaar from Thanchi by boat it may take 200 tk per person or you may reserve a boat and it may take 3000 – 4000 tk. You must enter your full name, address and contact number at Army camp of Remakri, Bandarban. After reaching Remakri just keep walking for Nafakhum waterfall. After 2.30 - 3 hours hiking you will reach to Nafakhum waterfall. After enjoying the beauty of nafakhum and taking rest you have to start for Sajia para. If you start walking it will take 3 - 4 hours to reach Sajia para from Nafakhum. The next day after spending the night in Sajai para get up early morning and go with your guide for Amiyakhum waterfall. After 3 - 3.30 minutes walking finally you will reach to your destination.



Where to stay: Near the Amiyakhum waterfall Sajia para and Zin para is located. For spending the night you have to take shelter in a house at Sajia para or Zin para.



N.B. Don’t visit Amiyakhum waterfall during rainy season. One should take necessary medicines for mosquito &  malaria. Wear comfortable shoes for trekking. Make sure it can give you a better grip. Pack all goods in extra water proof bag or poly bags. Don’t take too much load and use a backpack/rucksack. Do not go anywhere alone in the hill and always be in a team. Take a torch or headlight with you.
