Lalbag Fort

Lalbag Fort is one of the major tourist attractions of Dhaka which was also referred as the fort of Aurangabad. The fort stood witness for the bloody battle at the time of the first war of independence (1857) against the ruling British forces. Prince Muhammad Azam, son of Emperor Aurangzeb, began the construction while he was serving as the Viceroy of Bengal. Built in 17th Century dated 1678. Main attractions are - Tomb of Pari Bibi, Lalbagh mosque, Audience hall and Hammam Khana (bathing place) of Nawab Shaista Khan.The fort is locatate at Dhaka on the Buriganga River in the southwestern part of the old city of Dhaka.Currently, the Archaeological department of Bangladesh is maintaining this Historical place. Almost 3 million people visit this place every year.

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM & Leisure time : 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM
